RSB Apprentice of the Year 2021

Our partners, the RSB are running their Apprentice of the Year award for the 2nd consecutive year. The Award has been set up to celebrate and recognise apprentices contributions to their teams and the wider bioscience community.

The award also forms part of the RSB’s wider work supporting technical staff and their contribution, through their support of the Technician Commitment and Technician Action Plan.

This year sees the award expanded, divided into two sub groups:

  • Group 1: Apprenticeship levels 3 and 4. Scottish levels SCQF 5-7
  • Group 2: Apprenticeship levels 5+. Scottish levels SCQF 8+

 

The Group 1 award recognises apprentices who are:

  1. Actively developing professional technical knowledge and expertise
  2. Acquiring & effectively applying personal/professional development
  3. Making a positive impact of inspiring others
  4. Demonstrating effective teamwork
  5. Supporting projects efficiently

 

The Group 2 award recognises apprentices who are:

  1. Applying professional technical knowledge and expertise
  2. Acquiring & effectively applying personal/professional development
  3. Making a positive impact and inspiring others
  4. Demonstrating effective teamwork and collaboration
  5. Delivering projects efficiently

 

How to apply


Individuals can enter the award by downloading the appropriate application form for their apprenticeship level, and submitting by 12pm, on the 16th July 2021.
