The Covid-19 crisis undoubtedly sent a shockwave through the Higher Education sector, and like many others, the technical community was severely affected. Here at HEaTED, it didn’t take us long to change and develop our offering to support HE technicians across the UK.
Whether working from home, furloughed or continuing work under extremely challenging circumstances, HEaTED prepared to support as many members of the technical community as possible. HEaTED has put its best foot forward, bringing people together with free events, sharing resources and providing free one-to-one support.
HEaTED distributed over £76,000 worth of content for free during the Covid-19 pandemic. To date we have reached 560 individuals from 65 universities and institutions. This content has spanned areas such as resilience in the workplace, personal coaching sessions, sustainability (LEAF) and various e-learning courses, as well as acting as a point of contact for many members looking for additional support or signposting. HEaTED has also provided a platform for technicians to network and share experiences and best practice in an ever-changing environment.

The chart below shows the engagement from HE institutions on our free courses:

We would like to thank our members and dedicated teams, without which none of this would have been possible. We will continue to evolve and tailor our services to meet your needs, and we look forward to working with you in the near future.
